Back to School Book Bag and School Supplies Giveaway

BDIC Community Outreach is going to the Raymond Rosen Community, 2301 Edgley St, Phila, PA 19121 for a Back to School Book Bag and School Supplies Giveaway on Saturday, August 17th at  12 pm. We want to give the children of this community the resources they need to be successful in the coming school year. Here's how you can help us achieve our goal:

1. HELP INFORM THE COMMUNITY. We need volunteers to go to this community and hand out out flyers on Saturday, August 10th to let them know we are coming and to be ready to pickup these bookbags full of school supplies!
2. HELP PREPARE BOOK BAGS. We need volunteers to sort donated supplies and fill book bags.
3. HELP HANDOUT BOOK BAGS. We need a team of people to help distribute the book bags on August 17th.
4. MAKE A DONATION! We need plenty of book bags and school supplies. We don't want any child to be left out, so we are asking everyone to make a donation of the following items
   1. Composition Books, Sketch Books. Loose Leaf Binders and Loose Leaf Paper
   2. Pencils, Colored Pencils, Ink Pens, Dry Erase Markers and Crayons
   3. Folders, Pencil Cases and Book Bags
   4. Mini Dry Erase Boards and Dry Erase Markers
   5. Erasers, Glue and Rulers

We want to collect all donation by August 14, 2024. Donations can be placed in the collection barrels in the 2901 Building and the Narthex of the Main Sanctuary. To volunteer for this outreach, please contact Stephanie Johnson at (215) 885-2585, ext 304.
